The Irish Athletic Boxing Association extends its deep condolences to the Sheehy family following the death of Kevin Sheehy who died tragically in Limerick this morning.
May he rest in eternal peace.
Kevin Sheehy boxed out of the St Francis BC in Limerick and won National U/22 and Intermediate (Senior) heavyweight titles. He also represented Ireland in international competition.
Anna Moore of the St Francis BC said that their thoughts and prayers are with the Sheehy family.
A notice on the St Francis social media site said that this was one of the toughest days in the history of the club.
