The Irish Olympian beat Odd Haugstad on a unanimous decision in the bantam class in 1970.
Brendan McCarthy, Jim Montague, John McCormack, Patrick Doherty and Peter Doyle also had their hands raised in victory.
Montague, McCormack and Doherty recorded inside the distance wins in Bergen.
Edward Hendricks, John Rodgers, Robert Espie and John McKinty also lined out for Ireland against the men from the Land of the Midnight Sun.
