IABA is delighted to confirm that the first 4 Fundamentals-Assistant Coach courses will take place in November.
The Fundamentals Assistant Coach qualification, when paired with Garda Vetting/Access NI and relevant safeguarding training, will enable club coaching, acting as first corner in club, county, or provincial bouts. Fundamentals qualified coaches can sit at second corner in National Championships.
The first Fundamentals-Assistant Coach course will take place in the National Stadium, Dublin, on November 12th. The second in-person course will take place in Ulster November 19th, location to be decided. Two additional in-person courses will take place at the home of Irish Boxing on the same day, November 26th.
Over 210 people have registered their interest in qualifying as a Fundamentals-Assistant Coach – IABA will begin making direct contact with each person to advise them of the details of their course.
IABA also intends to bring the Fundamentals-Assistant Coach course to the provincial units: Munster, Leinster and Connacht, and will announce that schedule in the coming weeks.
